Projected Capacitance Touch Technology
Visual Planet’s unique and innovative ViP Interactive Foil uses Projected Capacitance Touch technology through a laminated plastic foil via an XY array of sensing wires. These wires are connected to a electronic control board which calculates the change in capacitance from the X and Y coordinates once a touch is made.
Due to Visual Planet’s flexible manufacturing process this unique technology functions efficiently and accurately up to sizes of 84” in 4:3 display format and up to 116" in 16:9 display format. The process also allows the customer to choose the position of the electronic components based on their intended display size and shape.
Interactivity occurs through any non-metallic surface. This creative technology provides the possibility of using a touch screen through window and therefore external to shops and businesses. This makes the ViP Interactive Foil vandal and weather proof as the user does not need to directly touch the foil for the technology to sense the user’s touch.
Integration with a variety of display technologies is a frequently used possibility for customers. Such technologies include LCD Integration, LCD Overlays, Rear Projection, Through-Window, and even table-top surfaces. The ViP Interactive Foils can be built into glass partitions, doors, furniture, external windows, and street signage.
Supplied via our global network of interactive digital signage resellers and system integrators the ViP Interactive Foil is used by these companies as an integral part of their delivery of Interactive Touch Screen solutions. These solutions are already widely used in all areas of business including retail, business reception, large campus sites, exhibitions, museums and public areas.
